Bullae - blisters over 5 mm in size, elevated, fuild-filled
Crusts - dried remains of exudative lesions
Dermatitis - inflammation of the skin
Dermatoses - any skin disease
Ecthyma - a pustular skin disease (form of impetigo)
Eczema - an inflammation of the skin with redness and vesicles (blisters) which weep and form crusts
Lichenification - bark-like, pigmented; normal skin markings are exaggerated
Macules - less than 10mm, non-elevated discolored area
Papules - nodules, tumors: solid, elevated
Patches - greater than 5mm, non-elevated discolored area
Pustule - pimple, elevated, with pus
Scales - "desquamated stratum corneum" (now laugh!!)
Vesicle - blister less than 5mm, elevated, fluid filled
Wheals: flat topped, steep walled solid elevations (from histamines)
