Trimming hooves is something that every goat owner just has to do. First, you need a good restraining device. We do all our hoof trimming on the milk stand. Our goats are trained to the stand at an early age. They always get a treat just for jumping up onto the stand.
Notice the black electrical tape wrapped around my thumb. This prevents MOST accidents with the knife, which is kept very sharp.
